Program Curriculum Overview
The Online Healthcare MBA is a 63-credit, cohort-based program completed in approximately 21 months (7 quarters). Coursework integrates healthcare systems, finance, strategy, operations, analytics and leadership—emphasizing applied projects and a culminating capstone.
The curriculum develops leaders who can improve clinical and operational outcomes by combining business rigor with real-world healthcare application.
Online Class Format (Designed for Working Professionals)
Delivery Model — Fully Online with Scheduled Live Sessions
The program is delivered fully online. Each course balances flexible asynchronous learning with required synchronous sessions to preserve interaction, collaboration, and mentorship.
Weekly Time Commitment
Plan for an average of 20–25 hours per week for readings, assignments, team work, and live sessions.
Instruction Breakdown
- ~80% Asynchronous instruction: recorded lectures, readings, forum discussions, individual assignments, and recorded content you can complete on your schedule.
- ~20% Live synchronous instruction: scheduled Zoom class meetings where you engage directly with faculty and peers.
Asynchronous Coursework (≈ 80%)
Weekly modules include readings, recorded lectures, discussion forum posts, short papers, quizzes, and team-based assignments. Asynchronous components allow working professionals to progress on a schedule that fits their availability.
Live Synchronous Sessions (≈ 20%)
Each ten-week course includes three live class meetings scheduled on:
- Friday (afternoon/evening – typically 4–7 p.m. PST)
- Saturday (morning/mid-day – typically 9 a.m.–12 p.m. PST)
Live sessions occur via Zoom at set, published times—like a traditional class.
